Kite skating, (sometimes referred to as Kite-blading or boarding ."This is an extreme sport using powerful, controllable kites to propel riders of in-line skates, off-road skates or mountain boards at speeds up to 60 mph across parking lots, desert dry lakes, grassy fields, and sandy beaches" http://www.kiteskating.com/ The Sport: Since the sport's conception over 13 years ago, its popularity has been steadily growing. Kite Skating is most popular in America, Europe, South Africa and Australia. There are currently no National or International events, however, Kite Skaters frequently participate in Kite Buggy events around the world.
